Welcome to my Creation: Sports Fixtures and Tables
|
|
I think I am done with php-fusion. The system is unstable, the crew is focused on certain things. New is not always better! Hell, only your website admins know and feel the difference between v6 and v7. Your visitor/membership does not experience any real gigantic changes.
Fusion community liked it's potential, but then I offered my work in progress code to anyone that was willing to assist in spreading the resource. I received no interest. I am seeking no monetary gain out of this project.
Sorry to all that seek same type of resources that I sought. I had to make due with some harsh coding, probably insecure code. It fit my needs, but I did not have the time to work on it for distribution. Now that v7 is out and so many are stuck in the mode of "v7 is new and the best", they do not realize the true picture. I'm sure any of you that are seeking this project are operating on v7. I am not in full agreement with it.
With what I have seen from v7 in various different browsers, I have to view it as an ordinary (sometimes computer iliterate) visitor. They often do not see it as it is meant to be seen. Depending on the browser, themes are skewed. That is my biggest website pet-peave. v6 does not have those display illusions. Not everyone is the tech geek and/or be convinced to change browsers to Firefox. If we are building websites for only a specific demographic, we are here for the wrong reason! |
Does this mean that the Sports Fixtures and Tables project is dead??? Not entirely. I will leave this site open and if there is a good technical programmer that wants to tackle it, I am all for it.

I have had very little time because of work, class, and of course family.
In class, I started thinking too much, like "What happens when next season comes? Where does this season's details go?" Duh! I did not think about the long haul of the project. I have to consider multi season details and/or archiving. Especially since my league is starting a new year and season, I don't know why I did not think about this earlier. In the meantime, my league now has two separate sets of tables (one for this coming season and one for last season). This is so WRONG!
I have handed over a large portion of my duties of my league to my league directors so hopefully soon I will get this project moving in the right direction.
My apologies!

I have just added a front-end user demo of the Fixtures and Tables. I am hoping to have back-end user demo available very soon. You will need to register to access the back-end demo (when made available, hopefully very soon).

| Fixtures and Tables Status |
Since v7 final release date is still in question, I have not dedicated much time to it.
Due to all of my custom creations associated with my sports website, I am not looking into v7 until final release and bugs are pretty much worked out of it.
I could prolly make Fixtures and Tables available for v6 and fairly soon.
Sports features that I have created for sports organization administration via web:
* Fixtures and Tables (Obviously).
* Sports related themes.
* Coaches Database.
* Managers Database.
* League Scheduling (I am not sure if I will release it as leagues and clubs have their own procedure and mine is pretty proprietary to our process).
